Please read the files README, COPYRIGHT and INSTALL first.
This file contains only AKCL specific information.

CLICC has been successfully used under AKCL 1.615. Since AKCL doesn't
support CLOS by its own, you have to install a version of PCL, which
is an implementation of CLOS from PARC Xeroc. We have used
September-16-92-PCL-f, which you can get by ftp from parcftp.xerox.com
in the directory /pub/pcl. Follow the instructions given in the file
readme.text in the PCL ditribution. You may have to rename the Lisp
files of the PCL ditribution from *.lisp *.lsp as described below.

AKCL uses the default filename extension ".lsp", so
rename (or link) all ".lisp"-Files in the directory src/compiler in
the CLiCC distribution to ".lsp":

   cd $CLICCROOT/src/compiler
   for f in *.lisp; do
     mv $f `basename $f .lisp`.lsp
